One is through IRCTC new website and second is through IRCTC Rail connect mobile app.

Step-by-Step IRCTC Individual Registration Process

Step #1 Open IRCTC.co.in Next Generation e-ticketing platform
Go to irctc website (https://www.irctc.co.in/nget/) and look for Register option. It is present on the top navigation menu next to irctc login.
Step #2 Click on Register option to open isrtc sign up page
Here you need to fill out some personal information. In order to create a new irctc account, fill out the username, password, name, date of birth, address (Minimum 3 characters, maximum 225 letters), etc.
Step #3 Click on Register button and then click OK on confirmation popup
After filling all details and security questions, click on the register button at last of irctc registration form. Now a popup window will appear for sign up confirmation. Click OK to confirm.
Step #4 IRCTC new account activation
After clicking Register button and Ok button for confirmation you will be redirected to activation page. Click on the link as shown in the below image.
Step #5 Verify your Mobile Number and Email ID with OTP
By clicking on “Click here” you will be redirected to the verification page. You need to verify both, mobile number and email through OTP. Just click on Verify Mobile with OTP and Verify Email Id with OTP. You will receive a message and mail respectively. Enter the code to verify.
Now you can simply go to irctc login page and use your id and password to open your booking account.

Step 2) Open mobile app and click on Register button
When you open IRCTC smartphone app click on TRAIN TICKET image. It will redirect you to login/sign up page. Click on Register button to start creating a new irctc account.
Step 3) Fill the complete irctc registration form carefully
On the registration page, fill each and every detail carefully. You might get some error like – “min 3 characters & max 225 alphabets, number and space are allowed only”. So follow every help instructions as mentioned.
Step 4) Verify your IRCTC Registered Mobile and Mail ID
Finally, you will get an OTP on both mobile and Mail ID. Enter that to verify your IRCTC account successfully.
