Nokia 106 (2018) Feature Phone With Long Battery Life Launched, The Finnish mobile phone company HMD Global has now launched a new feature phone dubbed as Nokia 106 (2018). This phone comes as the successor to the original Nokia 106 that was unveiled a way back in August 2013 at Rs. 1,399.

It came in Black, Red, and White colour options. However, HMD Global has packed this feature phone with bunch of improvements, It comes with a tough polycarbonate build that has “inherent colouring” that makes the colours run through the material.

is also touted to deliver up to 21 days of standby time or 15 hours of talk time on a single charge. Also, there is a contoured design which makes Nokia 106 (2018) feature phone much more ergonomic than Nokia 106 (2013)

Diving into the details of Nokia 106 (2018), The feature phone supports dual SIM and sports a 1.8-inch QQVGA screen with a 160×120 pixels resolution and TFT display. Under the hood, The phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6261D SoC, clubbed with 4MB of RAM and 4MB of internal storage.

There is a micro-USB port for charging and this one also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The handset also supports FM radio and LED flashlight. The battery on the device is an 800mAh unit, in terms of dimensions the phone measure 111.15 x 49.5 x 14.4 mm.

Moreover, The device comes with many trial version games which are further available for purchase. Games on the phone are Nitro Racing, Danger Dash, and Tetris among others. It also has the ever green, classic Snake Xenzia. Furthermore, Nokia claims that the phone is capable of holding up to 2,000 contacts and 500 text messages.

Apart from this, HMD Global has also launched the Light Grey and Dark Blue colour variants of the Nokia 230 that were previously launched only in Black and Silver colour back in 2015. However, Nokia 106 (2018) comes in Dark Grey colour option. The phone bears a Russian price tag of RUB 1,590 (around Rs 1,700), and it will go on sale later this week in Russia.

As mentioned above, Nokia 106 mobile was launched in August 2013 at Rs. 1,399. The phone comes with a 1.80 inch display with a resolution of 128 pixels by 160 pixels at a PPI of 114 pixels per inch. the feature phone is powered by a 800mAh removable battery. It measures 112.90 x 47.50 x 14.90 (height x width x thickness) and weighs 74.20 grams. The handset supports a single SIM (GSM) mobile that accepts a Regular-SIM. Connectivity options include FM.

Earlier, The Finnish mobile phone maker HMD Global launched Nokia X7 smartphone. The smartphone comes with a 6.18 inch full HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio, 86.5 percent screen to body ratio, 2.5D curved glass, measure measures 154.8×75.76×7.97 mm and weighs 178 grams.

Under the hood, Nokia X7 smartphone is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, coupled with 4GB / 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB / 128GB of eMMC internal storage. Storage can be further expanded with a microSd card Upto 400GB.

In terms of Optics, the Nokia X7 bears a dual rear setup with a primary 12 mega pixel sensor, which offers 1.4 micron pixels, dual-pixel autofocus, f/1.8 aperture, and OIS. Also, There is a 13 megapixel secondary camera sensor at the back with fixed focus. On the front, the smartphone sports a single 20 mega pixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, AI enhancements, and fixed focus. On the whole the device is backed by 3,500mAh battery and has a support for 18W fast charging.

As for connectivity, the Nokia X7 offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with VoWiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, FM radio, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In terms of the sensors, the handset has accelerometer, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, gyroscope, and fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone is priced  at CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 18,000) for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage model, CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 21,200) for the one with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage, and then CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs. 26,500) for the top end 6GB RAM / 128GB internal storage model.
