Nokia 8.1 Smartphone With Snapdragon 710 SoC Launched, The Finnish multinational telecommunications, information technology, and consumer electronics company Nokia launched a new smartphone at launch event in Dubai. The Nokia 8.1 smartphone comes with Identical features to the Nokia X7. Key specifications of the smartphone are, 6.18 inch Pure Display with HDR10 support, dual rear camera setup with Zeiss optics, Snapdragon 710 SoC, Android 9 Pie, and 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging capabilities.

Diving into the details, the Nokia 8.1 smartphone
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 System On Chipset clocked up to 2.2 GHz, paired with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded with a microSD card upto 256GB.
Talking about the smartphone, the smartphone comes with a primary 12 mega pixel camera featuring a 1/2.55 inch sensor, 1.4 micron pixels, OIS, EIS, 2PD (dual photodiode) technology, and a dual LED flash. A secondary 13 megapixel fixed focus lens is meant for depth sensing. On the front, there is a 20 mega pixel fixed focus lens with 0.9 micron pixels, and 4 in 1 pixel technology for better low light photography.

"Nokia 8.1 comes with Bothie feature, which allows both the front and rear camera to used simultaneously, as well as its Pro Camera UI, with several manual camera options. The dual rear camera setup will help create portrait shots featuring a bokeh effect", the company said.
As for the connectivity options, the smartphone comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, VoWiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS / A-GPS, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type C port. Sensors on the smartphone include, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, rear mounted fingerprint sensor and proximity sensor. It is fulled by 3,500mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 22 hours of talk time, 24 days of standby time, up to 11 hours of video playback and comes with 18W fast charging support.

The Nokia 8.1 has been priced at EUR 399 (around Rs. 31,900) and it will go on sale in European and Middle East markets from 2nd week of December. The smartphone will be available for purchase in Blue / Silver, Steel / Copper, and Iron / Steel dual tone colour variants. Furthermore, HMD Global will launch Nokia 8.1 in India at an event on 10th December 2018.
Earlier, HMD Global launched Nokia X7 smartphone, This device comes in three variants 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage model priced at CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 18,000), 6 GB RAM / 64 GB storage priced at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 21,200), and 6 GB RAM / 128 GB Onboard storage model priced at CNY 2,499 (approx Rs. 26,500).
Nokia X7 smartphone comes with 6.18 inch full HD+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio, 86.5 percent screen to body ratio, and 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, The phone is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 System On Chipset, paired with 4GB / 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB / 128GB of eMMC internal storage. Storage can be extended with a microSD card Upto 400GB.
Optics Include, Nokia X7 sports 12 mega pixel sensor, which offers 1.4 micron pixels, dual-pixel autofocus, f/1.8 aperture, and OIS. There is a 13 mega pixel secondary camera sensor at the back with fixed focus. On the front, the smartphone comes with a single 20 mega pixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, AI enhancements, and fixed focus.
