Oppo R15x Smartphone With Snapdragon 660 SoC Launched, Chinese consumer electronics and mobile communication company Oppo launched a new smartphone named, Oppo R15x. The smartphone features Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, a teardrop notch on top of the display like Oppo F9 Pro smartphone and in-display fingerprint scanner. Prior, Oppo launched Oppo K1 smartphone in china and the specifications of Oppo R15x is quite identical to the K1, except for the colour options the new model ships with. The Oppo R15x will be sold via offline stores and comes in a single variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. The phone can be purchased across the offline stores in China in two colour options- Nebula and Glacial Silver. It’s priced at 2499 Yuan (approx. Rs 26,300) and will be available from 1st November.

Diving into the specifications, Oppo R15x flaunts 6.4-inch Full HD+ display on the front which carries a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels and has a 2.5D curved glass on top. Both the front and rear glass panels are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology. The Oppo R15x is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset, clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
Also users can expand the storage up to 256GB with the help of hybrid microSD card slot. The smartphone boots on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with ColorOS 5.1, Oppo is yet to update the existing smartphone with the latest version of Android.

As for the connectivity option the smartphone includes Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB Type-C port. The device is backed by 3600mAh beefy battery with support for fast charging. Talking about the optics of the smartphone, the device sports dual rear camera setup a 16 mega pixel primary camera + 2 mega pixel secondary camera. On the front, there is a 25 mega pixel secondary camera, Fingerprint scanner is given on the back of the smartphone.

Earlier, the BBK Electronics-owned company launched Oppo k1 smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE processor, up to 6GB of RAM, dual rear cameras and a generous 3600mAh battery. Oppo k1 flaunts 6.4-inch display on the front with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and waterdrop notch which is the reason why it achieved a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. The Oppo K1 has a 16MP primary shooter on the rear side which works in tandem with a 2MP depth sensor. The camera comes integrated with a lot of AI features. On the front, Oppo has added a 25MP shooter that’s present on the waterdrop notch. On the whole the smartphone is backed by 3600mAh battery and it lacks fast charging support.
As for the connectivity options, the handset include Dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a USB Type-C port on the bottom. Furthermore, Oppo K1 is the cheapest smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner. Like Oppo R15x, The Oppo K1 smartphone comes in two colour options – Van Gogh Blue and Mocha Red.
