Sony Xperia L2 Smartphone Launched In India At Rs 19,990, Sony is a Japanese based multinational conglomerate corporation headquartered in Minato, Tokyo Recently launched a new mid range smartphone in the Indian market today named Sony Xperia L2. I hope you hear about this smartphone earlier when it was uncovered in CES 2018 event last month. You can buy Sony Xperia L2 Smartphone in two colours Black and Gold. This device is currently available in all stores at just Rs 19,990.

The device flaunts 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels that further translates to a pixel density of 267 PPI, sony has also added its Image Enhance technology in the Xpeia L2 and the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology.

The smartphone is powered by MediaTek MT6737T chipset which is coupled to Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM.The phone offers 32GB of internal stockpiling, Memory can be further extended by a  dedicated microSD card of up to 256GB.

The phone boots Android Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with slight modifications / Porting.

Talking about camera, Sony Xperia L2 Smartphone have fingerprint scanner module at the back with 13MP sensor at the back with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, and 1/3.06-inch sensor.  To the front, we have an 8MP selfie shooter with 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.

The device has dual SIM support and it measures 9.8mm in thickness and has a weight of 178 grams.

Moreover, Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C port, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone is backed by a 3300mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology.

Earlier, The brand announced that it will provide software updates to its flagship smartphones for two years, up from the usual 18 months upgrade cycle. Will the brand roll – out update for all flagship smartphones? No, the company’s provide update for few smartphones. For example, Sony’s Xperia XZ lineup of smartphones will receive software updates for two years from the date of launch.

However, there’s no luck for Sony’s mid-range, and entry-level devices as the company confirmed that it wouldn’t provide any update if the hardware doesn’t meet the requirement. “We aim to support all premium range devices with the latest Android updates for two years after the device has launched. We may choose not to upgrade a mid-range or entry-level device if testing does not meet our exacting standards and we feel the hardware isn’t capable of delivering a stable user experience,” said  by the company.

Aforesaid, Sony Xperia L2 announced at CES 2018 event with few more sony smartphones Sony Xperia XA2XA2 Ultra the XA2 devices are the first Sony devices to ship with a fingerprint scanner in the United States. Sony just announced three devices without revealing the pricing and availability details. All the three phones will launch in the Indian market this month with some of the telecom operator, as per the rumours the brand is launching this smartphone with idea offers. This is not officially revealed by the brand so we can say much about this.Also, Sony’s premium smartphone, the Xperia XZs has received a massive price cut of Rs 13591 in India.

This smartphone was First unveiled at the MWC 2017 in April at Rs 49,990 but is now effectively priced at Rs 36399. The smartphone is notably available in three colour variants – Black, Warm Silver, and Ice Blue. Amazon India has a discounted Ice Blue and War Silver models going for Rs 37750 and 37495 on their website.

Meanwhile, Indian e-commerce startup Flipkart is offering the Xperia XZs for 39,990 on their website. Further Sony started rolling out latest Android Oreo update for the Xperia XZs. The software carries build number 1.3.A.0.401 and weighs in at 1.2GB. Oreo brings out a number of new features to the device including Picture in Picture (PIP) display, background limits, snooze notifications, adaptive icons among others.
