In a report from some news websites, Reliance JIO is acquiring TiVo Corporation, a global leader in entertainment technology and audience insights to launch TV services in India.
Reliance Jio Media Pvt. Ltd has selected TiVo's CubiTV to provide entertainment services to Indian subscribers. CubiTV with Jio will introduce advance HD and 4K set top box platform for Indian customers. There will be many features like Video on demand in Jio DTH set top box (STB).

- Reliance Jio may offer free DTH services for initial stage.
- After the free period, Jio DTH plans will be as low as Rs. 185 per month.
