The Indian buyer might have to wait even longer considering convention with Xioami launches. Another piece of information that can be crucial to a prospect buyer is price.
The Redmi Note 5 might come with a steeper price compared to the outgoing model, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The base variant can be priced around Rs 7,999 in India.

A metal body surrounds the screen, with plastic end caps on the back to allow the antenna to operate, while a 2.5D curved piece of glass is over the display itself. The previous Redmi 4X was very comfortable to hold, and we expect the same from the Redmi 5 and 5 Plus. There are four color options — blue, gold, rose, and black — with all but the black model having a white bezel around the screen. A fingerprint sensor is set underneath the single rear camera lens and flash unit.
The Snapdragon 450 SoC is not only built on top of the 14nm manufacturing process, but it’s also one of the best chipsets out there on the market today. Smartphones such as Vivo V7+ and Vivo V7 are powered by the same Snapdragon 450 SoC, and they offer decent performance.
The processor of the device is expected to be assisted by 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The Redmi 5 will operate on Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 but will be based on Android 8.0 orero meaning there won’t be an upgrade. If a company fails to optimise the new software to the phone, then you should probably skip the update and stay on the lower Android version.
Xiaomi Redmi will launch in two variants 32GB with 2GB of Ram & 64GB with 3Gb of ram.
On the camera front, the rumours suggest a dual camera setup with one of the modules housing a 12 Megapixel sensor. A 3300 mAH battery will power the device.
Xiaomi says that the large pixel size will capture more light, and the device will deliver excellent images even in low-light conditions.
Then brand launched Redmi note 4 with 4100Mah battery and launching redmi 5 with 3300Mah which is a set-back of this phone.
Being a little smaller, and with a smaller battery, means the Redmi 5 is slightly thinner than the 5 Plus at 7.7mm and lighter at 157 grams.
