Panasonic P100 With MediaTek Processor Launched At Rs 5,299, Panasonic Corporation formerly known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd is a Japanese based multinational electronics corporation headquartered in Japan Has recently launched a new entry-level smartphone in the market dubbed as Panasonic P100, This is a basic smartphone with mediocre features like 4G LTE and VoLTE support. The Japanese brand also stated that the new phone would be exclusively available on e-commerce portal Flipkart starting tonight.
The Brand silently introduced this phone in the country today even Panasonic india didn’t tweeted on their twitter handler about this entry-level smartphone. Panasonic P100 is priced at Rs 5,299 and the phone comes in three colour options- Blue, Black, Gold and Dark Grey.

Talking about specifications, The smartphone flaunts 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The display packs a 2.5D curved glass on top and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology. At the core of this device there’s a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC with all the four cores clocked at 1.25GHz. Furthermore Mali-T720 GPU takes care of Graphics in the phone.
This device comes in two variants – one with 1GB of RAM and the other one with 2GB of RAM. Both the models offer 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. The smartphones boots Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and has a fingerprint scanner module at back panel, the phone is fuelled by a 2200mAh battery.
Moreover, the phone comes with 8 mega pixels rear snapper and a 5 mega pixels front-facing snapper. Both the sensors are along by an LED flash, which is a good thing to see on a entry-level smartphone.
Connectivity options in the Panasonic P100 smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port is present at the bottom for data transfer and charging.

Aforesaid, The smartphone comes in two variant one with 1GB of RAM and the other one with 2GB of RAM, 1GB of RAM variant costs Rs 5,299, while the 2GB of RAM variant carries a price tag of Rs 5,999.
Earlier, Panasonic introduced some good entry-level phones in the Indian market like Panasonic Eluga I9, Eluga C, Eluga A4 and Eluga I5. The Panasonic Eluga I9 is the last addition to the Panasonic Eluga range of lineup and is priced at Rs 7,499. The Eluga I9 compete against the smartphones such as Xiaomi Redmi 4, Tenor E, Xiaomi Redmi Y1 Lite, etc.
The Eluga I9 comes in just one variant, and there’s no 2GB RAM and 16GB storage option. Storage in the smartphone can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card. Panasonic has added a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720*1280 pixels resolution.
Panasonic Eluga C smartphone features a 3-side bezel-less design. In this smartphone Panasonic seems to have taken a lot of design cues from Sharp Aquos range of smartphones and some DOOGEE smartphones as well.
The Panasonic Eluga I5 will most likely be exclusive to Flipkart and carries a price tag of Rs. 8,990. The sluggish part is that the Eluga I5 is listed with a 2500mAh battery. The Eluga I5 will probably be the only smartphone with a 2500mAh battery in the said price bracket.
Also, Panasonic has stated that it will launch 15 smartphones below Rs. 15,000. At the same time, Panasonic also expanded its retail presence in the country by partnering with more retail store partners.
Keeping its promise of launching smartphones under Rs. 15,000, earlier the company launched Panasonic Eluga A4 in the country. This smartphone is Priced at Rs 12,490, the Eluga A4 is an offline-only model and customers can purchase the device in Panasonic authorized retail stores across the country.
